AU-EU Innovation Agenda Stakeholder Event

The African Union – European Union Innovation Agenda Stakeholder Event was held in Nairobi, in the days before the EiA Annual Congress (November 23-24). The main purpose of the event was to present and discuss the findings of the online public consultation on the AU-EU Innovation Agenda. This consultation took place from February to June 2022.

During day 1 of the event, a number of workshops were held to get feedback from stakeholders. EiA team members were invited to a number of these workshops, having provided inputs both with regards to the gaps and further additions to be added to the final version of the Innovation Agenda. Both African and European stakeholders, from EiA and sister projects, as well as from various European and African organisations participated in the sessions.

During day 2, there was a match-making session, in which European and African innovators had the opportunity to showcase their innovative products and services as well as pitch to the participants. The session was also available through streaming. A number of these innovators have been supported by ENRICH in Africa through the various services we offer.
