ENRICH in Africa participated at the EBN Congress 2022 in Brussels

ENRICH in Africa (EiA) took part at the EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network) congress 2022 on 24th and 25th of May in Brussels, the first one taking place in person since 2019.

On the sideline of the congress the EiA, together with the BIC Africa project funded by the EU and implemented by EBN, showcased very concrete project activities and had exchanges with participants, to work together and for future potential collaborations. 

In a panel discussion, among other themes, on ‘‘How to bridge innovation ecosystems within Europe and beyond’’ the panellist discussed about the need to support entrepreneurs, start-ups, business incubators, and accelerators around the globe, including a particular focus on Africa and Europe. Moreover, how to apply comprehensive approaches to enable innovation ecosystems to develop involving diverse actors and institutions across multiple locations, maximising the value of innovation for all and ensuring equitable diffusion of its benefits.

The EBN Congress brings together more than 200 EU|BIC community, corporate leaders, senior-level government officials, business incubation executives, and innovative experts. The event showcased tested methodologies, best practices, and facilitated exchanges. Moreover, the participants had the chance to exchange ideas, co-learn, co-develop future co-operations, and leverage unique mutual understanding.
