Taking Innovations International

Good ideas need to be promoted and spread, which is why EiA facilitates the internationalisation of African and European innovations. Soft-landing services ‘powered by EiA’ offer access to local markets for SMEs and start-ups from both regions and promote skills development and transfer. 

During the pilot phase of the project, soft-landing services will be offered by partners Bond’Innov, FSATLabs and Startupbootcamp AfriTech based on their long-standing experience in the market and proven success rates. While Bond’Innov focuses on African companies aiming to explore European markets through their Bees programme, FSATLabs caters to European innovators interested in Africa. On top of this, Startupbootcamp AfriTech provides an online accelerator programme with an open geographical focus.  

Soft-landing services ‘powered by EiA’ include among other things: 

• Trainings and coaching

• Immersion into local ecosystems

• Administrative support

• Meetings with partners and investors

Selection procedures and implementation processes remain under the authority of the corresponding partners. Following the pilot phase of the project, the impact and success of the programmes will be analysed and a prolongation or expansion to other EiA Champions considered.
