Bond'innov is a French NGO supporting innovation with a strong economic and societal impact. Bond’innov accompanies any type of innovative project, in France, in Africa, and between the European and African continents.

Bond'innov acts through 4 departments:

• The Incubator department (Incub'innov): support for innovative entrepreneurs, including African diasporas, on the IRD Campus of innovation (Paris Region)

• The Financing department: financing innovators through free loans (directly or via incubators in Africa) and capacity building in financing.

• The PEPS (Projects, Expertises and Strategic Partnerships) department: engineering and implementation office for entrepreneurship support programs. PEPS also offers training and expertise in entrepreneurship and Franco-African innovation.

• The African incubator Ecosystems and Networks cluster: animation of incubator networks and development of value-added services for innovation ecosystems in Africa.

By submitting an application, candidates commit to being available for the entire period of the soft-landing program.

The program will take place from September 2021 to Novembre 2021 and it can not be postponed.

The application form should be filled in by a person entitled to represent the company regardless of the fact that he/she is the CEO.

The selection will take place in 2 phases. First, about 20 projects will be pre-selected based on the their application form.

Then, they will be evaluated based on uploaded deliverables (video, pitch, international business plan etc…) and 10 laureates will be chosen to benefit from the Bees soft-landing program.

The jury will evaluate the projects according to different criteria defined below:

• Business model

• Added value and impact

• Business potential

• Financial stability

• Potential of international development.

The Bees soft-landing program is aimed at connecting entrepreneurs based in Africa to the European entrepreneurial ecosystem. Participating to Bond’innov’s Bees soft-landing Program powered by EIA doesn’t constrain you to internationalize your company right after the program. However it is a mean by which you can explore this hypothesis by studying the market and meeting relevant actors. It is therefore preferable for the laureates to have an idea of why, where and when they want to internationalize their company in Europe. After their soft-landing experience in Europe, you can freely decide whether or not you want to implement your international plan in Europe.

No. The headquarters of your company must be based in Africa. However you will not be discriminated against if you have a subsidiary company outside of Africa.

All candidates must have a proficient level of English.

Deliverables, communication and workshops will all be in English.

Services offered by the Bees soft-landing program, includes the coworking spaces for 3 months in the Bond'innov incubator, trainings and local meetings are free of charge. If selected the project will have to cover for transportation, accommodation and installation costs itself.

Bond’innov is located in IRD Campus of Innovation in Paris Region, and can provide accommodation at low cost within the campus, if available.

The call for application is open to any company that meets the requirements of the eligibility criteria regardless of its sector of activity.

• Have a venture which is at least 2 years old

• Have a turnover of at least 15 000 € in 2020

• Have at least 2 employees and/or co-founders

• Have headquarters based in an African country

The Bond’innov "BEES" program, powered by EiA, encourages and eases the mobility of entrepreneurs from African countries to Europe (France and then other countries) through various modules. The program promotes skills development, skills transfer as well as the internationalization of innovative solutions!

The aim of the call for application is to select 10 African startups or SMEs in order to help them navigate the challenging path of internationalization to Europe.
